Edinburgh
Edinburgh
Edinburgh has the feel of an old city. Of course, it is an old city. We've definitely visited older cities. There's something about all the levels, the closes running between market streets, the graveyards, and the park (formerly a loch) which contributes to the old feeling despite all the modern enhancements. The high rock in the middle with a castle perched on top doesn't hurt either.
There was some spotty weather which moved between sleet and blue skies by the hour. Even the locals observed that there was alot of rain ("even for winter in Edinburgh").
We wandered the city for hours. Had some great beers at BrewDog and the Hanging Bat. There was a great dinner at Wedgwood on Thanksgiving day.
All in all we had a great time.
